Reel In for the 2026 Fishing Tournament in Sargent, TX
Set from March 21 to August 16, the Caney Creek Estates 2026 Fishing Tournament in Sargent, TX, is one of the community’s most exciting annual traditions, bringing together residents, families, and fishing enthusiasts for months of friendly competition and exciting Gulf Coast adventure.
Tournament Rules
- All fish and crab must meet Texas Parks and Wildlife regulations, including weight and length. Weight will be the determining factor in the event of a tie in fish length. In the case of a crab tie, two prizes will be awarded.
- All entries must be caught in Sargent or adjacent waters.
- Entries will be accepted only from family members (accompanied by the property owner). Only dues-paid members are eligible.
- Fish must be fresh, not frozen, but can be kept on ice.
- Weigh-in Time: 9am to 5pm.
- Call for any board member to meet you at Boat Ramp Number 2 to weigh and measure your fish. The ramp is at the intersection of Seagull, Caney Drive, and Creekside Drive in Caney Creek Estates.
- Prizes will be presented at the annual meeting on Saturday, August 29, 2026.
